HORROR FACTORY submissions | The Crime Factory

12/06/2012 By Liam José

Continuing in the footsteps of our special editions like KUNG FU FACTORY, Crime Factory will this year be publishing HORROR FACTORY, which, as you may have guessed, will be horror-themed, to launch this Halloween.

There’s already some exciting content confirmed, that will be announced in the coming months, but we’re looking for you to blow our socks off, and then feed them the S&M demon you worship.

The guidelines are this:

FICTION – under 5000 words. Please send through a query first – including a one to two paragraph synopsis and approx. word count – to horrorfactorysubmissions at gmail dot com

ARTICLES/FEATURES – under 7000 words.  We’re looking for retrospectives on fiction, authors, films, analysis, whatever you’d like. If you can rustle up an interview that you think is appropriate, let us know. No query needed. Send that bad boy through.

Much like our regular submissions, polite follow-ups are welcomed, encouraged even. But understand that we’re busy guys, so don’t be offended if it takes a while for us to get back to  you.

What exactly do we want, you ask? Write whatever you feel qualifies as horror – I want a pretty broad field. Dark and disturbing is appreciated, as is pulpy and fun. Horror is personal, and that should be reflected.

For articles – again, the best stuff comes from what you’re passionate – been dying to find an outlet to write about Brian Trenchard-Smith’s late 80s output? Here you are.

DEADLINE for submissions is AUGUST 31ST 2012 for an OCTOBER 31ST launch.
